The world at our feet

At GCB Bilingue Internacional, we firmly believe that cultural appreciation allows our children to get a global vision of the world and an ability to recognize and respect the differences between countries and their customs.

Consequently, we have taken part in academic and cultural immersion programs in countries such as England, Canada and the United States through midyear summer camps for students in grades 7 through 9 and in the November immersion program for students in grades 4 to 6.

Cambridge International

Since 2011, GCB Bilingue Internacional has been part of the schools accredited by the University of Cambridge. The programs of Cambridge International implemented at GCB cover the entire school process, from the first stages of primary school to the last grades of secondary school, according to the curriculum and the characteristics of the school.
The philosophy of Cambridge International prepares students and teachers alike to becoming confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged through a student-centred process. Among its benefits, the program provides an excellent foundation for secondary and higher education, uses international standards for evaluation, international curriculum, flexible implementation in a variety of programs and methodologies, support for teachers and program administrators. Fifth and eighth grade students sit the Cambridge Check Point exams and ninth grade students sit the IGCSE exams. Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international secondary diploma for 14 to 16-year-olds. It is recognised by higher-ranked universities and companies of the world and is an international passport to personal development and success. Created more than 25 years ago, its effectiveness is endorsed and supported by centres all around the world.

International Baccalaureate

International minded people

The aim of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
Students who belong to the IB are: inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective. Since 2018, GCB has embarked on the pathway towards becoming an IB World School as of 2021. This will allow students to graduate with two diplomas: the secondary school diploma issued by GCB and the IB Diploma conferred by the International Baccalaureate that will allow them entry to universities in Colombia and abroad.
